Storyline

17 year old Marty McFly got home early last night. 30 years early.
He was never in time for his classes... He wasn't in time for his dinner... Then one day... he wasn't in his time at all.
Marty McFly's having the time of his life. The only question is -- what time is it?
Meet Marty McFly. He's broken the time barrier. Busted his parents' first date. And, maybe, botched his chances of ever being born.
Marty McFly just broke the time barrier. He's only got one week to get it fixed.
Marty McFly is an aspiring musician, but he is not sure of what the future holds for him; first his band was rejected as the performing band for the school dance, and historically, no McFly has succeeded in anything. The only bright spots in his existence are his girlfriend and Emmett Brown, the town crackpot scientist, who is Marty's good friend. Marty was helping brown with his latest invention a time machine, which is fitted into a Delorean. The time machine needs a tremendous amount of power to work, which he gets from plutonium. Now Brown got the plutonium from some Libyans who want him to build a bomb; they find Brown and shoot him, Marty gets into the Delorean and drives off and when he reaches the speed of 88 mph that activates the time machine, he finds himself in 1955, cause that was the date that Brown entered, which was when he first conceived the time machine. Now having already used up all the power of the plutonium, Marty must find a way to get it working, so he can go back to his own time. Marty looks for Brown but before he does, he runs into his father as a teenager, and accidentally interferes with his father's first meeting of Lorraine, his future mother. Marty then goes to see Brown and convinces him that he is from the future and to help him. But when he learns of the amount of power that is needed to power the machine, he tells Marty that it's hopeless cause the only other thing that can generate that much power is a bolt of lightning and it's impossible to determine when and where they will strike, but Marty has with him an old newspaper cliping that states that the town clock tower will be struck by lightning, so they plan to draw the energy from the lightning so they can power the machine. But before they do, Marty must act as cupid for his parents cause it seems that because they never met they won't fall in love and get married and Marty will not exist.

The Coolest And Greatest Flick Ever. #1 in History.
posted on 31 Aug 2009Being "Back To The Future" more than 200 times. This is by far one of the greatest films in all history. It is witty, the sci-fi is perfect without going over the edge, the comedy is fall down pounding on the floor funny, and it has just the right amount of romance that won't make you gag. This is by far one of the greatest films ever made. Please come back to video. The main star Micheal J. Fox gives a great preformance that will keep him famous for all history. Dead or Alive "Back To The Future" will be with him in the distant future. (He's my idol) Christophe Lloyd gives a hysterical preformance as an eccentric mad scientist name Emmet Brown or Doc. He's AWESOME. This is the role that made Lea Tompson famous. Being so good I home this comes back to video. Or even back to theatres for a special edition. It is to die for. To remind you once again, I've sen this film more than 200 times

posted on 31 Aug 2009I didn't actually goto the cinema when it came out putting it off as not interesting... Well I was only 7 at the time, but when it first came out on video, WOW, was I impressed, I have all three + the first one's original box that it came in. This film is a masterpiece, the story is great, the characters are great....What can I say, this film is GREAT!
Probably one of the greatest movies of all times
posted on 31 Aug 2009This movie is probably undisputed to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable movies for our 20's-30's generation. It is a very pleasant reminder of our great 80's pop music. The great one-liners from this movie essentially became part of our usage in our everyday life. Simply a brilliant movie with great music!

Maybe if enough people ask for it, it will come back.I've been everywhere looking for a gift set and can't find one anywhere. Back to the Future 1,2,&3 are the best non-violent, or vulgar movies that anyone will watch and enjoy.

posted on 31 Aug 2009This movie is one of the greatest ever. They don't make them like this anymore. It is truely a classic. Marty's jurney is one that should never be forgoten. The movie has everything. Adventure, comedy, Action, Romance, and everythign else.

posted on 31 Aug 2009Back to the Future is a great movie that was snubbed on the recent list of the 100 greatest movies of all time. Back to the Future has so many different elements that make it a great movie: comedy, romance, suspense. The visual and audio effects of this movie are excellent for 1985. The soundtrack is also excellent including such hits as "The Power of Love" and "Back in Time" (performed by Huey Lewis and the News)The "all star" acting cast assembled for this movie is also stellar. George McFly and Biff are timeless characters that will delight generations to come.
My favorite of the three Back to the Future movies!

I watch it at least once every couple of months, and the copy I have is one recorded off of a rented one from the video rental place, because by the time I saw it, it was way past the time when they were still making copies of this movie. I have original copies of the other two and desperately want a good copy of the first one! Anyone know where to get it?? Plllleeaasee tell me! Whoever sees this review, you definitely want to see this movie. It's worth renting, trust me.

posted on 31 Aug 2009This is a movie that both children and adults will love. It's entertaining, funny and very enjoyable. I'm not one who enjoys sci-fi movies but this movie is an exception. Michael J. Fox was wonderful as Marty McFly. It's a definite go see. I'm impatiently waiting for it to finally come out on DVD.
A classic from the 80s!
posted on 31 Aug 2009"Back To The Future" is a true classic. This movie is so 80s, and I love the 80s. This movie is full of laughs and excitement from beginning to end. Alan Silvestri's score is wonderful! The special effects are top-notch! The actors are wonderful in their roles! This movie is an all-around great one! Always remember this quote- "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!"
A Timeless Classic
posted on 31 Aug 2009I originally saw this movie in the theater when it was released. I was so impressed that I actually went out and bought the video, and I didn't even have a VCR at the time! I watched it at least once a year for the next 8 years, and it never got old. Unfortunately, I left my copy with an old roommate and we ultimately ended up not speaking to each other. Had I known that the movie was out of print, I never would have let it out of my hands. I hope sincerely that the studio considers re-releasing this film, as I would like to again add it to my video collection. If that happens and I again get a copy of it, believe me it will never leave my house! Anyone who wants to watch it will have to sit on my sofa and watch it on my television, or they will not get a chance to see this marvelous movie.

posted on 31 Aug 2009I have the second and third version of Back To The Future. The Assistant who worked were I bought the vidoes said that the first version was not being made anymore. I was very angry at the movie maufacturer. I am planning on going to the Back To The Future store in Universal Studios. I totaly love this movie! It is the best. I highly recomend this vidoe to the future generations to come!!!!!

posted on 31 Aug 2009In my opinion, you just do not get any better than this movie. The performances by Michael J. Fox, and especially Christopher Lloyd, really set the mood for the entire movie. From watching it, you can honestly get hooked on the plot and root for Marty to not only save his family, but the future as well. Once you watch the first 10 minutes of it, you can not stop until the movie is finished.
