This movie was almost scary

posted on 18 Aug 2009

I wanted to like this movie a lot more than I did, and it does have a few scary moments. But overall, it was just kind of annoying. The catacombs are a great setting for a horror film, just the idea of hundreds of miles of tunnels filled with millions of corpses is really creepy. But almost all of the characters were really annoying and the scares were mostly forced. Just like most modern horror films, the director relied too heavily on flash-cuts (inserting almost subliminal images into the movie) to generate those jump-out-of-your-seat moments instead of relying on atmosphere and mood. And the evil anti-Christ demon thing wasn't really scary or believable and the scene showing his creation was laughable, and unnecessarily grotesque. I did, however, really like the ending because I had totally forgotten that in the beginning she mentioned that "in 48 hours everyone I know was dead". It was a good twist that comes close to redeeming an otherwise lackluster film. But if you want to see a far superior film that has a similar story of a girl running from a vicious killer, watch the French horror film High Tension. The scares are real and the pacin keeps you on the edge of your seat and the ending is far cooler and creepier.

That dreary feeling that you've seen it all before....

You know the feeling. This film just doesn't take you anywhere you haven't already been a hundred times. It doesn't say anything new. The FX are good, but not memorable. The ending is surprising, but not particularly well-executed. Most of the scenes are predictable. Common sense is at a minimum. In fact, the one thing that stuck in my mind after the movie ended was the neat flashlights everyone uses. These flashlights turn completely off when the battery gets low and then come on again at full brightness when you jiggle them and curse them. (And for all you smart-alecks who think that one of the flashlights has an intermittent connection, remember that this happened with several of the flashlights and that one of the characters actually states that they go off sporadically when the batteries get low.) I've never had a flashlight like that.Worth watching, but don't expect any big scares. Too bad, because I think this could have been a lot better.

Claustrophobic and Tense

posted on 12 Aug 2009

When the troubled and addicted in pills Victoria (Shannyn Sossamon) receives a card in USA from her sister Carolyn (Alecia Moore), who is studying in Sorbonne, inviting her to visit Paris, she immediately travels to meet her sister. When Vic arrives, Carolyn brings her to a rave party in the underground of Paris in a location called Catacombs, and introduces her to her friends. They tell Vic that in the 500 kilometer mace, more than seven million people was buried two hundred years ago; further, the labyrinth is haunted by a monster that wears a goat mask and chase people. In accordance with the urban legend, a boy born in an incestuous intercourse was locked in the labyrinth and fed with raw meat by the Cult of the Black Virgin to be the Antichrist, becoming an evil beast. The tired and upset Victoria decides to leave the party, but she gets lost in the mace; when her sister finds her, she is attacked and killed by the beast. Victoria runs in the dark tunnels trying to reach an exit or find Carolyn's friends while she is chased by her innermost fears. The claustrophobic and tense "Catacombs" is an underrated horror movie. The gore story is good with a great twist; Shannyn Sossamon screams a lot in panic and has a great and convincing performance, demonstrating the tension and fear felt by her character; but on the contrary, Carolyn is too vulgar for a student of the traditional Sorbonne. The frantic camera work associated to the use of lightening is excellent and I startled many times along the story. My vote is seven.Title (Brazil): "Catacumbas" ("Catacombs")

Some entertaining moments but blows its potential. Flashlight consolation

posted on 19 Jul 2009

This film has amazing potential including the mysterious underground catacombs of Paris, a rave in the crypts, weirdos galore including the lead -- even a goat monster on the prowl. Unfortunately, while it offers some entertainment value, it devolves into a jumble of underground in the dark shots that are not patched together well, and in the end, nothing much to take it beyond the potential and into the realm of a good movie. With hundreds of miles of catacombs to play with you would think they could have dreamed up some interesting places to stop. Maybe the Nazi bunker which is down there would have added some creep. Or a secret meeting place of a cult. An old crazy recluse. I mean, something more than endless stairs and passageways and pools of water and places that look like the attic of an old house in need of a rummage sale. There's just nothing to make you go "Wow!" or prickle the hairs on the back of your neck.It doesn't help that the attractive lead is an asexual emo queen. Sure, she's been through a lot, but most of her actions consist of screaming and running, followed by more screaming and running, topped off by more screaming and running. By the end she is thoroughly unlikeable mess with no real redeeming qualities, and that's before the real "end" which I won't spoil here.Actually the best part of the movie was the flashlight. To steal a line from Will Smith: "I have GOT'S to get me one of those." Not only does it last forever, and display immunity to immersion in water, it survives falling ~100 feet onto hard concrete and doesn't lose a lumen in the process. Hmmm. The fact that the flashlight steals the show says something about this movie. Not a bad movie. Just not a good one.

Strange Horror Flick That Harbors An Incredibly Frightening Setting.

posted on 19 Jun 2009

"Catacombs" follows Victoria (Shannyn Sossamon), an American woman who travels to Paris, France to visit her sister Carolyn (Alecia Moore, commonly known as singer 'Pink'). After arriving in the "city of lights, romance, and art", Victoria finds herself at Paris' "dirty little secret", the Catacombs - over 300 miles of underground limestone tunnels lined with the bones of millions of corpses - where a rave is being held. But when the rave is invaded by police and Victoria blacks out, she awakens by herself, lost in the dark tunnels armed with only a flashlight, surrounded by millions of skeletons of people long past... and she soon becomes convinced that someone or something is chasing after her.For me, the biggest thing that "Catacombs" has going for it is it's setting - the Paris underground catacombs, which actually exist in real life. Roughly two hundred years ago, the city ran out of room for graveyards, and decided to displace all the corpses and put them in the limestone mines that ran underneath the city, where the millions of bodies were arranged along with walls in often artistic but frightening patterns. So, from the get-go, the setting for this movie is fascinating and downright scary. Secondly, the claustrophobia factor is utilized here, and there is also a consistent sense of dread, nervousness, and hopelessness that benefits the film quite well. However, there are some problems. The biggest problem is that there is no character establishment, and even less so on the relationship between the Victoria and Carolyn characters, which really would have helped the film out when the twist-ending comes along. I felt the writers rushed to get to the catacombs, and spent no time on the characters themselves before they entered them, which was a pretty unfortunate mistake here and it really hurt the plot. But, if you can get past this flaw, the the film does gain some solid momentum as it progresses to the surprising conclusion. The atmosphere is dark and dank, and there is a constant uneasiness that is felt even when nothing particularly frightening is playing out on screen. The subplot of the "killer" in the movie was disturbing to say the least, if not cliché, and the all the sequences in the catacombs (which is about 85% of the movie) were pretty scary.Another thing you'll notice (or perhaps you won't) is that there are only two scenes in which the "killer" actually appears and chases our lead character. The majority of the film is spent with her trying to get out, finding another man who is also lost, and the psychological torment and extreme fear of being trapped down there. It's hard to even notice this, though, because there is some solid scary material alone without the concept of a killer lurking down there, and that tells me one thing - the villain isn't the only scary thing in this movie. The disturbing setting, the atmosphere, and the psychological aspect of it all is just plainly frightening by itself. Imagine yourself in her situation, lost all by yourself in 300+ miles of corpse-lined tunnels armed with only a flashlight - it's hard to fathom just how petrifying that it would be. Shannyn Sossamon (who starred in the dreadful "One Missed Call") was fairly solid here, and any loss of character establishment is at the fault of the script. She's a decent actress and pulls it together. Alecia "Pink" Moore isn't too shabby either. She's by no means a great actress but can pull off this role in a neat manner as well. However, there is a problem - the chemistry here makes it hard to believe these girls are sisters (let alone the fact that they look absolutely nothing alike - Sossamon is Hawaiian for god's sake!). Now, let me get to the ending. I was surprised, I'll admit, and I actually thought it was really clever. But the the bloody resolution to it all was a little bit far-fetched. I suppose if you can get past it though and suspend a little disbelief, it isn't too awful. It's a neat idea, anyway.Overall, "Catacombs" is a strange horror flick that harbors an incredibly scary setting, and takes advantage of it. The script needs work (especially in the area of character establishment), but I felt it was a pretty solid, clever effort that managed to creep me out quite a bit. The surprise ending may be a little hard to swallow for some, but I personally kind of liked it myself. I'd say this is worth watching for horror fans because of the extremely scary setting (not to mention the fact that it's a real place), if nothing else, but it does attain a sense of dread and claustrophobia that isn't too easy to come by. There's a lot worse out there, trust me, this wasn't as awful of a movie as some are making it out to be. 6/10.

Just say no to Pink

posted on 15 Jun 2009

Sub-par acting all around along with an especially horrible performance by Pink, even by B-Movie standards. The premise is OK and even the beginning is not completely horrible, but then the action get relentlessly repetitive as are made character is chased and chased and chased some more, which does work for me at times but with nothing unique thrown in there to mix it up a bit then it just gets old fast. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending, not only a twist but a twist that makes a little sense and actually works, it doesn't feel contrived and just thrown in at the end to screw with the audience. If your looking for a good horror movie you could do much better, but if you can stomach Pinks horrible attempt at acting for the length of this film (more power to you) then you could give this one a try, but only for it's unique ending.

Could have been good. Shame it wasn't at all.

The only reason i decided to watch this in the first place was to flutter away the early hours of a Sunday morning so i wasn't really expecting much from it, when you turn off a film and think, i really wont get that time back you have to question the quality of what you have just witnessed.Firstly it got to a point were i had absolutely no compassion for Victoria (Shannyn Sossamon) and just found her to be incredibly irritating. Due largely in part to her loud screams of Help and HENRY when his name is Henri, her voice in general to can only be likened to the sound of scratching a fork across a bare china plate. The most miraculous part of the experience is that when the immersion of Pink occurred (during the wholly nauseatingly awful ending) it was actually quite refreshing. To be fair the first hour or so of this film is not too bad, with some entertaining scenes, but i just cant recommend this film because of the ending. It could be seen as that sort of "And she woke up and it was all a dream" kind of scenario only with a pick axe and an unfortunate facial wound to jean Michele. This obviously leads to a rampage of death. After all it is perfectly understandable to kill your own sister and all her friends with a blunt pick axe because they played a prank on you. The logic is sound :| In conclusion, if it had a better ending it would probably be worthy of about 5, but yeah, it has the worst ending ever so a 3 will do it justice i think.

Awesome Climax!

posted on 24 May 2009

When we started watching the movie, we felt like it would be another drowsy 90 minutes. But, against all hopes we had about the movie, it was interesting. Especially the climax was really superb. If it was like any other such kind of movies, we would not have written this comment. This one really rocks!! The story has the ability to catch your attention and a very different climax. Another important part of the movie is the sound tracks, without which it would not be this much interesting. The wavy heavy metal and soft rock sound track helped the visuals to communicate well on the screen. The casting is not excellent but OK.. Do watch it at least once.

May Be The Best Horror Film Since The Exorcist

posted on 10 May 2009

As a lover of the horror genre I am tired of films that rely on blood and gore to not scare but simply gross out the viewer, I prefer films that work on more of a psychological level and this one definitely does. It starts of fast with two sisters visiting each other in Paris, They decide to go to a party in the catacombs under the city and all hell breaks loose. The acting was very good for a horror film and I thought that the atmosphere was very well done and made the film very creepy. The direction was a little erratic at times and I couldn't always follow what was going on but other than that the film was the most disturbing movie I have seen since The Exorcist.

"Welcome to the Catacombs!"

posted on 30 Apr 2009

~Spoiler~I remember Catacombs being announced at the same time Twisted Pictures was making Saw 2. Saw 5 is currently in production and this film is just now seeing the light of day. There is a reason for this. It's TERRIBLE! Shannyn Sossamon stars as a loner girl whose been invited to Paris by her sister (pop star Alicia "Pink" Moore in her acting debut). They wind up going to a rave under the city of lights in the biggest mass grave in history: The Catacombs. After her arrival, Sossamon gets lost in the Catacombs and is stalked by some kind of maniac. I really want to like Sossamon, but she needs to stay away from my genre. This, The Order, and Devour...not much of a resume. I can sum up the movie in four words: Strobe lights, running, and screaming. That's it. That's all that goes on in this film. In fact, a more apt title would have been "Stupid People Stumbling Around in the Dark...with Strobe Lights." And let me repeat how awful the strobe effect is. If you don't have a seizure in the first 30 minutes, then you will die of boredom during the next hour. The ending is hilarious. Well, not the ending so much, but it's delivery. The Twisted Pictures people must think we are all stupid. The twist ending in Saw is handled fairly well. Here all the clues are SHOVED in the viewers face during the final reveal and it repeats the only scenes where anything actually happened in the movie. The shame of it all is that this could have been a decent effort in the hands of a capable director. As it stands, keep out of the Catacombs.

Pretty good actually

posted on 16 Apr 2009

There are horror movies that are good in general sense (like Jaws) and movies who do have limited appeal for special audiences. This movie is not great in general sense, but it is pretty appealing to those horror movie fans who love underground, claustrophobic horrors like Descent or Creep. The setting is very good, but the props are weaker somewhat. Story is a mess and yes, Pink is very annoying so I do agree with someone else "just say NO to Pink!" I actually do love underground movies like Descent so I have pretty much enjoyed this one too. This is not A class movie but still pretty amusing one. So if you enjoy underground / labyrinth setting, you may enjoy the Catacombs as well.

Scary, Claustrophobic and Highly Entertaining Movie

posted on 02 Apr 2009

I've been waiting to see Catacombs for quite some time now, since the concept of being trapped in Catacombs sounded interesting, it has Shannyn Sossamon and the singer Pink and it's a Horror Movie; which is the genre I most love. I mean, we've had movies set in caves, but hardly any set in Catacombs in Paris. The only movie I had really seen which had footage of Catacombs was from a scene in French Horror "Them", but that was very brief. It interested me to see a movie set in Catacombs, and I've finally managed to see this great movie. Catacombs is an entertaining, and actually scary flick which manages to thrill and leaves the claustrophobia feeling on the viewer while watching it. While it may not be "The Descent", it sure is a great ride of a movie. Whatever you do though, do not think Catacombs is a creature movie; it isn't.Shannyn Sossamon plays Victoria, who has just flown to Paris from the States to see her sister Carolyn, played by singer "Pink" but credited as Alecia Moore. It's clear to us that Victoria is quite a weak, and rather plain individual and Carolyn is pretty much the opposite of her; wild, talkative and a bit of a bitch. One night in Paris, Carolyn takes Victoria to an illegal party in the Catacombs of France, where hundreds of dead bodies are buried for hundreds of miles underground. Everything seems to be going well, until a vicious attack occurs in the Catacombs; leaving Victoria alone. Trying to find her way out, she is pursued by a mysterious creature who is out to kill her and before she knows it, the place is raided by cops and Victoria is knocked out in the stampede and awakens...alone...in the Catacombs. It's surprisingly scary, I mean if you watch the movie then you should know what I mean. You think being trapped underground isn't scary? Think again. Victoria isn't just trapped underground, she's being pursued. It's a pretty simple plot, and it entertains all throughout. We have great chase scenes, a great soundtrack in the clubbing scenes, great acting (even Pink delivers here!), scares, some brutal violence and more. It has a good build-up before things start to go awry, and it's great to see a weak individual having the crap scared out of her! It's great to hear lots of screaming as it feels real. Victoria doesn't change her personality while being chased, suddenly going from weak girl to tough chick, she remains the same so it feels real. You do feel sorry for Victoria at times, with everyone hating on her and picking on her, but it's great to see her being chased in some suspenseful chase scenes which had me scared. The character development is good enough, but seeing as Victoria and Carolyn are the only ones we really focus on, the other characters aren't really important as they are hardly present in the movie. The ending is a shocker, and you shall be shocked at what the outcome is. It's quite clever in a way, because you'll look back at what happened before in the movie. This movie doesn't have lots of gore and violence if that's what you are expecting, but it does get rather brutal and shocking towards the end. It's not meant to be a movie with lots of gore.Could Catacombs have been better? Yes, it could have been a bit better. It gets slow for a small bit of time in the movie, but that's forgivable. I'm not disappointed at all in fact. I wanted a great flick, and I got one. I'm glad I've finally got to see it, as it feels like I've been waiting so long. Catacombs may not be as great as "The Descent", but it sure is a great movie with a claustrophobic feel to it and actually has it's fair share of scares. Give it a chance.8/10

if you thought Hostel sucked, you'll like this

posted on 31 Mar 2009

Yeah, if you loved Hostel, Wolf Creek, Saw, or High Tension, you probably won't like this. However, if you prefer real scares and a feeling of dread, as opposed to films that are a dressed up test of your gag reflex, you may actually like this. Dark atmosphere, great acting, and character development(some films actually still do that)make this a really good horror flick. The impending sense of doom is so much more scary than trying to guess which hardware tool will be used for a torture scene, and I like that this film actually credits viewers with intelligence enough to follow the twist(s) and not dumb it down, not even for a for a wide theatrical release. Check it out - I'm sure there is someone, somewhere, scripting a "Wolf Creek 2" if you'd rather not think about what you're watching.

But all I got was a stupid man in a stupid mask.Constant screaming of the lead actress nearly killed me.The ending was so lame. The whole time I was watching it I wanted it to end right away.I was really expecting a lot more.I wish someone else took the plot and make a much much more scary film.Anyway,I just wanted to warn people who haven't seen it yet. You're lucky...stay that way. Please please do not watch this movie

Entertaining but nothing too special

posted on 19 Mar 2009

I saw this film at a free screening about a year ago. They were passing out tickets at my college campus.Basic Plot: Sossamon plays the lead character who goes to Paris to visit her sister, played by Pink. They go out for a late night rave-like party hidden in the catacombs beneath Paris. The cops arrive to break up the party and chaos ensues. Sossamon gets knocked out in the chaos and wakes up a few hours later, finding herself locked in the catacombs with no way out. It's not anything really special but it was highly entertaining watching a frantic Sossamon run around in the dark for about an hour trying to find her way out of the catacombs while being chased by a goat-headed killer. The action in this film is very fast-paced with an almost continual feel of chaos and urgency. Some, if not most of the action comes from first-person POV with Sossamon running through the labyrinth of tunnel-graves with a dying flashlight. Oh, and the ending is one of the best parts about the film. Very amusing. No ridiculous amount of gratuitous violence.

One of the worst films I've seen in a LONG time

posted on 17 Mar 2009

Seriously, WTF is this crap? What were they thinking when they made this? I'll admit, I didn't think it was as bad as a lot of other people on here thought it was, at least not until the end, the ending was a no good motherf_cker, as far as I'm concerned. In the middle of the film, Carolyn (Pink's character) is supposedly "killed" by the antichrist, but at the end of the film, we find that it was all a prank and that Carolyn is not killed and the so-called "antichrist", which the ENTIRE MOVIE'S FRIGGIN STORY is built around, never existed, I mean, WTF kind of bullsh!t ending is that? Not to mention it defeats the whole purpose of the film. Biggest waste of time I've ever watched, no wonder it was straight-to-DVD (at least to my knowledge it was).

Not a bad film!

posted on 09 Mar 2009

People are slating this as a "bad" film however it is a decent enough, unnerving thriller that doesn't quite give the feeling of crushing claustrophobia the Descent does, and doesn't quite set you on the edge of your seat like monster chase films such as Creep does...Some camera shots are a bit too "arty" for my taste, and detracts slightly from the overall effect seeing as it is a horror film, however it is easy to see what they were trying to achieve with such closed in, minimal light sourced tunneled shots that fade into the distance only as the main character rounds the bend taking the torchlight out of shot. But overall, a good enough film with a slightly transparent ending that will either have you smiling or groaning!

Interesting concept that falls flat.

posted on 27 Feb 2009

The premise is interesting enough. The lead actress goes to France to meet her sister and ultimately ends up at an underground rave in the Catacombs that apparently reside under the streets of Paris. The biggest issues for me were the apparent low budget and poor acting. None of the characters are engaging and honestly you never learn enough about them to become invested and there are a lot of plot holes (such as what actually happened to the girl in the opening credits) and again, no character development so you never learn the reason behind a lot of things. The movie rushes past plot and point and lingers on a lot of flashing lights that will cause a seizure. I knew from the beginning what the ending would be any anyone who pays attention will probably figure it out as well. The whole "Catacombs" set looks like something made from Halloween Store supplies and there isn't enough gore or violence to redeem it, as anything other than a cheap suspense film. I didn't like it, but the general premise is enough for me to give it a 3.

The Blood Beast Terror (1967) Vs Catacombs (2007)

posted on 17 Feb 2009

I'm sometimes surprised to experience just how perceptibly little, in some cases, low-budget fantasy/horror cinema has really evolved in the intervening years since the sixties and the here and now. I just watched The Blood Beast Terror (a no-budget sixties fossil from the Hammer wannabe Tigon Studios) and Catacombs (from the producers of the Saw movies, apparently) back to back and I remain utterly amused to report that The Blood Beast Terror tramples all over the newer effort for sheer entertainment value and (thankfully) sustaining a far lower level of crashing boredom-inducement.Catacombs has a neurotic anorexic US chick, Victoria (Shannon Sossamon), visiting her fleshier free-spirited sister, Carolyn, in Paris. Carolyn is played by pop-strumpet Pink – and she's clearly a serious, solid-gold, major-league non-actress in the Madonna mould. Pink and pals – a bunch of ignorant Gallic goth pranksters - like to party in the ancient burial chambers situated in catacombs beneath the City of Light. They sweat and gyrate to rave music, smoke Gauloise, swig absinthe and skinny dip in the underground pond, which looks like it resulted from a ruptured sewage pipe. They also spin yarns of a satanic man-beast who lives in and stalks the catacombs in a ceaseless quest for fresh meat. After a police raid, Victoria gets trapped in the catacombs and, believing her sister to have been done-in by said beastie boy, spends the rest of the film running around in a raging panic, sweating, screaming, scrabbling, sustaining minor injuries (the sort a half-hearted self-harmer might inflict) and rejecting the advances of Henri, a non-English speaking Frenchie who is also trapped underground with her. Henri behaves like all non English-speaking Frenchman by grunting, posturing, pointing at things and exhibiting a rapid multitude of mood-swings in a fantastically short space of time. That's about it, folks, until the earth-shattering shock twist ending which proves to be as unpredictable and inventive as a song by…er…Pink, I guess.Put simply, Catacombs is crass, dull, monotonous, scare free, noisy and irritating. One of the most pointless films I have ever seen in my life. It sets out to achieve little and undershoots spectacularly by succeeding in achieving nothing at all of any worth, merit or significance.Which brings me to The Blood Beast Terror. Not the best of its ilk by any stretch of the most lenient imagination. It's a Hammer rip-off from the late sixties and the film which its star, the late, great Peter Cushing, classed as his worst ever. When you consider some of the stuff Mr Cushing churned out, that's quite some put-down. He was in Star Wars.Mr Cushing is a Scotland Yard detective who seems to spend most of his time in the Victorian countryside trying to solve a series of murders perpetrated on young men. The victims have been mutilated and drained of blood. The perpetrator is the "daughter" of local entomologist and mad scientist Dr Mallinger who is in fact one of his genetic experiments and she is able to, nay, compelled to turn into a giant…wait for it, wait for it…Death's Head Moth! That's right, the girl can turn into a huge moth with a craving for the blood of university students and brawny gardeners. She spares the local coach driver, who goes promptly off his rocker and gibbers: "The eyes! The eyes! Oh the eyes! Leave me alone!" This prompts the kindly visiting police doctor to diagnose and prescribe in one: "He's completely insane. We'll take him to the lunatic asylum in the morning." Yes, the script is laughable, the budget would probably just cover the price of a bag of chips and a bottle of pale ale by today's standards, the acting is woeful – even Cushing, a man capable of elevating the shoddiest material way beyond the most plunging of depths, is left floundering here. When one character proudly announces "They call me Billy the Bug-Catcher" you really know that this film has transcended the boundary separating the mere crap from a realm of infinite mind-numbing stupidity the like of which is seldom if ever breached for fear of ending up just like the gibbering coachman and facing a lifetime caged in the booby-hatch. Well, you would if you saw a giant moth with furry breasts.Yet, in comparison with Catacombs, The Blood Beast Terror is almost a work of art. What it has in common with Catacombs is being equally as scare-free. But, and here is where it scores points, the acting is better, there's more actually going on to keep you interested and engaged, there's the camp comedy value (unintentional, but it at least amuses), and it has an un-cynical attitude and Gothic atmosphere that worthless tripe such as Catacombs replaces with ruined expectations and cheap anticlimactic plasticity. At least The Blood Beast Terror has the gumption to go all the way with it's monster - no matter how ludicrous. Whereas, Catacombs...Should it be worrying that, to me, a mediocre sixties movie about a woman who can turn into a blood-sucking death's head moth seems more credible, valid and fun than one about a shrieking idiot bumbling around in a mass grave beneath the streets of modern day Paris? Moth probably, bug who knows?

Don't Waist Your Time

I had the opportunity to sit down and watch this movie with a couple of my friends. The movie had several parts including flashing lights, that make it hard to focus, and see what was going on. It also had little dialog and not enough action in it. The twist that come around every corner are easy enough to see. This is a poor excuse to be called a horror film. There were only few parts in the movie that actually . The ending is the worse, you don't see it coming which is good, but the twist of what happens really makes you mad. Me and my friends that watched it all agree it was a waist of time to see. When we could have been watching something good. You don't need to waist your money to see this. Just don't watch it...
