The scariest movie of all time is a true story.
Scarier than The Exorcist!
Scary as hell.
Everything you've heard is true.

The three went into the woods on a two day hike to find the Blair Witch, and never came back. One year later, the students film and video was found in the woods. Scared me sleepless
posted on 31 Aug 2009I had been following BWP for a few months on the web at their official websites, and I was completely hooked on the brilliant concept that Haxan films came up with. The entire last scene when Mike and Heather go into the house is what completely drew me in and scared me out of my mind. You will either love BWP or hate it.. Skeptics and people who didn't appreciate this movie obviously didn't keep in mind that the whole basis of BWP is psychological suspense, what goes bump in the night and the entire scenario can actually happen in real life (even if it isn't a witch who hunts you down in the woods while on a camping trip). Besides, the film has made over $100 million to date..regardless if you liked the movie or not, the filmmakers have to be doing something right to make that much money!!
good?
posted on 31 Aug 2009It seems that the majority of the people who go to see this movie are in love with it's premise. It is a pretty cool premise, but if anyone out there reading this has not seen the movie yet, do not get your hopes up too high. The acting is exagerated to the point of being hard to watch and the middle of the film drags like a turtle pulling a semi. It was really cool to see and indie movie make it this big, but once again the hype machine that is our society blew this film way our of the scope in which I think it was intended. With that said, the end of this movie is in fact really cool and truly scary. The last ten minutes will make you wonder why the rest of the film couldn't have been that good. Cause the end was really good. The closing images will stay with you for days, but unfortuntaly so will the naseau-inducing acting of Heather Donahue
Worst movie I ever saw, and biggest waste of cash
posted on 31 Aug 2009I would not recommend this movie to anyone, in fact, I have told people to NOT go see this movie, unless they like throwing their money away. I don't understand how everyone says that it will "scare the hell out of you" . The only thing it did to me was make me mad that I wasted my money on it. I thought that it was going to be really scary, but what it was, was really stupid.
the best horror film ever
posted on 31 Aug 2009this is a terrifying, landmark, revolutionary film with taut suspense and very realsitic. the plot centers around 3 student filmmakers who go into the maryland woods to find the truth about the blair witch. the close-up shot of heather's face, apologizing to her colleagues' parents is one of the most famous (and terrifying) images in film hisotry.
This film was just terrible!!!
posted on 31 Aug 2009This film sucked. It was not scary at all exept at very last two minutes. There were times when they would shut off their light on their camera and not hardly talk for a long time, and it was extremely boring. Even at the supposidly scarry time, the camera shook so bad and it was so much out of focus that you did not know what was going on. What they did at times, was not believable. Like when they found out thier map was gone, they argued for a long time like it would bring it back. Normal people would have kept walking, not just stood there. It was made to be an amature film, but they tried way to hard. This movie should not have even been made.
Remarkable, hopefully it will change movie making.
posted on 31 Aug 2009I can't say enough good things about Blair Witch. How often do you see a movie thats literally makes you have flash backs for days later. The freedom alone given to the actors is unherd off and hopefully will make an impact on movie making of the future. There is enough in Blair Witch to keep you watching it over and over again; that type of movie does not come around to often. So turn off the lights and let your imagination run. Believe me it will! P.S. this is reviewed from seeing the film in the movies not the dvd.
om my gosh, best and scariest movie ever
posted on 31 Aug 2009this in my mind is proboboly the scariest movie i have ever seen. i use a camcorder so im use to the shakey screen, i didnt have a problem, and i have an over active imagination. two things your gona want to have to really get into this movie. i never at any time drifted off into boredom. it kept me entertained the entire time, alonge with totoally freaking me out beyond belief! i didnt not sleep the next day until the sun came up, i couldnt get the terrifying images out of my head. this movie has made me loook at horror films differently, being that this was the first that i really liked!!
seee this movie at all risks!
VERY UNIQUE AND VERY SCARY!!!
posted on 31 Aug 2009It is not everyday that a film this uniquely terrifying comes along. It is a modern-day classic; a scary treat for the new millenium. One of the things that is so good about this flick, is the fact that is more of a "thinking" movie. Everything is not laid out in a neat little package, like most of this high-budget crap, that is getting churned out these days by all the major studios. So if you want something quite different, then try "The Blair Witch Project."
Creative yet slightly overrated
posted on 31 Aug 2009I caught this film when it was first released in Philadelphia. It's very creative yet I've seen much better as far as the horror movie is concerned. The film does have a realism that I enjoyed. The begining was real slow but after they go into the woods everyone watching is in for a treat. I like the Sixth Sense better but that doesn't mean I didn't like this. Check it out.

If you like suspense movies, you are going to love this one.
posted on 31 Aug 2009This is the best movie I have ever seen. Even though everyone dies at the end, I still get a sense that those guys are still running around the woods looking for the Blair Witch. The camera is used masterfully with not even a hint of bluriness . Go see this movie, I would give it my highest recommendations. Two thumbs up!!
