Three arrive. Only two survive.
The wrong woman in paradise can be murder.
Jack & Jennifer take a private cruise with friends, such as Captain Richards and his wife Maggie. Manuel is a staff member who catches Jen's eye. Thanks to chain of events sparked off between a dispute concerning Jack and Manuel, a fire breaks out and the ship blows up and sinks. Jen and Mannuel seem to be the only survivors to wash up on an island...but before long Jack shows lying in a rock pool...and here's where the tale turns nasty

Better than most low cost movies out there. Nice try!
posted on 29 May 2009"Three" is one of those few quality movies that will easily get ignored by people when compared with its big budget peers in the local DVD store... but if you are a fan of thriller and enjoy a good suspense, you CAN't miss out this one.The whole setting of this movie is quite simple: a small island located somewhere in the middle of the sea, where three people got trapped. what really grips the audiences' attention is the uncertainty of the plot, and the complex feeling and relationship between those three people.The beauty of this movie is: it provides the audience with a different angle to carefully observe humanity in such a simple environment. you'll discover love and hatred, loyalty and betrayal, thankfulness and vengeance, fate and karma, as the storyline develops you'll watch those elements mingled, intertwined, distorted and finally changed the fate of all three characters. The plot is so intense and got some twist that will keep you guessing till the end of the movie.Billy Zane, Kelly Brook, Juan Pablo Di Pace, all three leading actors delivered impressive performance. Billy Zane is a really good actor, who also showed his talent in "sniper" and "titanic". Kelly Brook is really HOT and surely knows how to act. Juan Pablo Di Pace also did a fairly decent job as the handsome tour guide. Oh,and the directing is good too! overall, i gave this movie 8/10. trust me, you'll love it!
Good premise but poor execution.
posted on 03 May 2009The story started out well by quickly going into action where we see two couples, including Billy Zane and Kelly Brook, chartering a boat in some area like in the Caribbean. One of the boat crew is played by Di Pace who gets into a quarrel with his girlfriend on the dock. Well, things don't go well after that because the girlfriend puts a curse on him.They are now out on the ocean and there is an accident and one of the couple and Di Pace are the only survivors stranded on a tiny island with no way out. Tension begin to arise because of an attraction that is brewing between Pace and Brook. In the background, the ex-girlfriend is influencing the dynamics among the three individuals by using her voodoo powers. It all ends up with a final showdown between the parties I liked the premise of the story. It had good acting. Billy Zane is always a solid performer, albeit little bit over the top. Kelly Brook and Di Pace, both unknown to me did their part well. My problem with this movie is that the director or the person who wrote the script, seemed unsure whether this movie should be a supernatural story or a thriller. I suppose the movie can be both but if that was the case, the movie was not well executed for that purpose.I also had problem with Billy Zane's character in that we don't know whether his behavior is influenced by voodoo or whether it was innate within him. As you can see, the script should have been rewritten to flesh out those important details.Overall, a decent movie. I was going to give it a 4 but I am instead, going to give it a 5. In retrospect, it is not a bad movie. It is OK as a video movie but nothing else.
Moral misconduct?
posted on 27 Jan 2009What the heck is this about? Kelly (jennifer) seems to drop all moral behavior as soon as she arrives to the island. She finds this Juan P (Manuel) existing and exotic, though she witnessed when he slapped his ex in the face, which he also justify later on in the movie, right or wrong? These two guys are the first to find each other on the island. Kelly are totally lost in every sense and the great Juan P can fish and built a somewhat house. Mr handyman. They seem to have a great time. Then Billy Zane (Jack, Kellys characters husband) shows up and of course, two days without knowing what his wife has been doing whit this gorgeous Juan P, he is a little bit jealous. Billy Z is the stereotype rich guy and maybe not the nicest man in the world. He dislikes Juan P (for hitting his girlfriend at the pier, who can blame him? Hes also is arrogant, but he paid loads of money to rent that boat and Juan P who is the waiter/everything cant even fetch him a beer whit in 20 min. Wouldn't you be upset? Yet Billy is probably the guy you want to punch in the face if you meet him. But at the same time, he is, not to be blamed for, suspicious about the scuba goggles Manuel has. Kelly and Billy just lost some dear friends! How convenient he just happens to have them, no matter what!). However, for some strange reason Kelly likes this girl hitting Manuel and starts to hate Billy for being jealous. OK, Billy is overreacting, thats for sure, but Kelly isn't doing much to convince him either. She spends more time with Juan P and even wants him to sleep with them since hes been so nice (and even though Manuel yelled at her and calling her things for asking him some intimate questions. But Kelly is SO forgiving...). Yeah right. And then she starts to have sex with this Juan P. It should be said that Kelly and Billy seems to have a working relationship before this island incident, at least, they have intimate sex on the boat and talks like people do when they like each other. Now, you can think that this scenario is possible. But for real, is it? Are you cheating your husband after two days on a coconut island just because hes jealous and acts like a drunk in the bar? (i wouldn't disagree if there relationship was really bad but the director doesn't give much hints if thats the case). For Christ sake, Juan P hasn't really shown himself being a good person. Catching some fish and built a wood house to get into someones panties, is that showing a good side? Not trying to befriend Kellys husband in anyway (which would be very simple by letting them be alone most of the island-time, simply be respect) He doesn't care about their relationship (and Kelly cant figure that one out), he just want to have sex with Kelly. Kellys character is just not trustworthy (if she was stranded with Billy and another attractive girl, wouldn't she be upset or what?!). Or maybe she is? Billy Zane plays a not very nice person, and Juan P isn't actually much better if you really think about it. And poor Kelly is so confused, and believes having sex with Juan P will solve everything because her husband is so strange and so aggressive towards poor Juan P? So... for all of you who reads this... What do you think about it? If you where the Kelly character, would you consider cheating on your husband, knowing one day you'll be back in real life, and all of a sudden Billys maybe not that horrible person after all. Hes just too jealous. And if you where Billys character, what do you say, is he totally wrong in his behavior? And Juan P character what do you guys really think of him. One thing is for sure. Manuels exist! Ps... The voodoo thing is so totally wrong here! What the heck was that about?! Seriously! Anyone tell me?
Not good, not good
posted on 28 Nov 2008Yes, bad acting isn't only one thing to mention. Bad script,not so bad music. Unfortunately.Nice girl and nice boy with perfect bodies and super teeth just isn't enough for me and for you too.First thing in the morning after crash they go to swim to the sea, to have some fun !!! Smiling ...They find everything in the sea. I mean things like fishing-net, knife, scuba dive things, ropes, bottles, husband ...Woodoo stuff , are you kidding. Stupid. They are so happy on the island, they are going to die, and they are happy. Love, peace. Love. Just stupid.Terrible, skip this one please.

posted on 18 Nov 2008A holiday on a boat, a married couple, an angry waiter and a shipwreck is the reason to this films beginning.I like boobs. No question about that. But when the main character allies with whoever happens to have the most fish at the moment, mostly by having sex with them and playing the role of the constant victim, my anger just rises to a whole new level. Take two guys (a husband and another man), put a pure bombshell woman in the middle of them, ad a deserted island, subtract all her moral issues, ad a whole bunch of moral issues to the men and mix it in a big bowl of arguments, fish and a zippo lighter and you will come up with a piece of junk movie like this. The acting is, I would say, good. There are some bloopers but not many as far as i could see. The main female character makes me sick. This is due to her lack of moral values. The man with the most fish get's her attention. Even though one of them is her husband, she sees no problem with being unfaithful with (Manuel) the other man because "I must do it to survive". How can you justify having sex with another man for fish when your husband is 30feet away? And he won't even benefit from it? The female character has absolutely no problems to justify anything that she does. If she doesen't get approval for her actions, she's a victim.I recommend everyone to see this movie. This is the kind of movie that will make just about everything else you see this year a pleasant movie experience.

posted on 06 Nov 2008How much do I love this film?! Now I'm not a fan of bad films, but I do love a film that is so bad it's good. This is one of those. Juan Pablo Di Pace has a great butt, looks fab on screen, and definitely doesn't make a bad turn at his acting debut (I believe). Billy Zane is suitably mean and moody, though I still constantly feel that there is something more in him. I felt it in Titanic, the look on his face when La Winslet spat on him for example, totally broken, shocked, and put-down ... fierce! Kelly Brook is a pretty face ... no seriously, I think that's it! It's worth catching this to see one really hot guy, some big bra fillers from Brook, nasty growling from Billy, laugh at the dialogue, revel in the scenery and madness of the whole affair ... I'm gona go watch it again now - yes, I bought it!!!
Do yourself a favor and save your time for something worth watching!
posted on 21 Oct 2008By far this has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. I watch practically every movie that is on at night (either showtime, hbo, cinemax, etc). "Three" AKA "Survivor Island" keeps you in as much suspense as watching paint dry only to let you down even more miserably. If you want to feel like you just wasted what seems like an eternity on the worst film ever created then by all means watch this movie. I must have screamed at a minimum 900 times from the idiotic twists. If I had 4 hands I'd give this movie 4 thumbs DOWN.In my personal opinion, I believe the only people who would like this movie are those with terrible morals.

posted on 03 Oct 2008First off, I just watched a movie on SHOWTIME called Survival Island. It says it was a 2006 movie with Billy Zane and since I like him and couldn't sleep I thought I would check it out. Looked interesting. Watched it, and decided to look up on the IMDb who was this new face Juan Pablo Di Pace and OMG I could not believe it, this movie has been renamed THREE and will be a new movie?? It is playing again in 1 hr and 30 mins on Showtime Channel again and this date is May 28 and EDT or Florida time. You can check your showtime listings by title and see it. I wont get into details so you can see the movie but at one point there is a lady in a white bikini that goes into the water taking it all off, you see her naked body.... when she runs back out of the water you see her bottoms on. Funny, there are a lot of other mess ups too. I can't believe by coincidence I decided to look up this movie... Go figure! Wonder if the people renaming it sold it to some movie studio to put out but it is already playing on Showtime, ha ha. Good laugh. I give it 1-1/2 stars. C-, D+ movie.
A pretty tame thriller
posted on 28 Aug 2008This began as a typical island movie with some disturbing twists. This movie kept interesting for about three minutes. It reminded me a lot of 'lord of the flies' just with two guys and a girl. There was a little passion flare but that about did it. the ending was quite good. I was pleased with it. the acting was believable in some areas i just think the story line needed something else. They had pretty poor special effects. To me it didn't quite make it. I enjoyed some parts of the movie but it just didn't 'thrill' If you are scared of most thrillers then this one should be okay to watch. so i give it a 5 out of 10. my boyfriend and i watched it and i gave it a 6 and he gave it a 4 so this is the reason for the 5. even though it had a bit of sexual scenes. they could of taken away the small amount of boob action and made it an M rating.
A good movie for limited audience.
posted on 14 Aug 2008THREE is a low budget sexy thriller. Its a late night movie that you can watch with your girlfriend (or alone), not the kind of movie you take everyone to a theater and watch. Kelly brook covers sex part GREATLY where as the thriller part is kind of "blah". Then again if you rented the movie for the thrill joke is on you.Saw a lot of bad reviews of the movie. I don't know what the heck people were expecting out of it. I saw the trailer of the movie and knew exactly what it was going to be. So I rented the movie without much expectation and i was satisfied.Go rent the movie, you are going to watch it, enjoy it and then forget about it. If you want thriller go rent Usual suspects, this movie is not for you.
So bad it's good
posted on 01 Jul 2008I can only assume the previous posts came from execs at the production company...Attended the UK premiere last night. Zane and Brook attended (they probably knew I was gonna be there) and are undoubtedly stars, but what a turkey of a film. I felt sorry for them at times, when the audience erupted in laughter at what were serious 'thriller' scenes.But perhaps I was missing the point. Perhaps an element of tongue-in-cheek was intended. If so, pure genius. If not, career genocide.On the plus side, Zane always shines, and Brook can actually act a little. As the other half said (as we ran out the cinema, avec broken ribs), they can be forgiven for this film as they both seem like nice people! The scriptwriter, however, should be marooned.
OMG this is SO bad
posted on 05 Jun 2008this is the worst film I've seen in a long long time, never mind the fact that so many useful things keep appearing on this island "how convenient!!!!", the acting is beyond poor from the outset, its like one of those really badly scripted soft porn films on channel 5, a complete waste of time, and i cant remember the lead actors name but i cant believe he still gets work!!! I've never seen him act "I've seen him in lots of films... But I've never seen him act. here are a few of the blaringly obvious errors, apparently petrol lighters still work even when they've been soaked in sea water!!! also according to this film you can walk into the sea naked but come out wearing bikini bottoms (I'm guessing the camera man and editor were students)there are plenty more errors but I'm ranting now, besides its no so much the errors as the cast the script and the whole film avoid at all costs
Kelly's Hero
posted on 26 May 2008This movie is essentially a love letter to the body of British model/presenter/actress Kelly Brook. And what an astoundingly flawless female body it is; perfectly proportioned, she's curvy without being fat, fit without being skinny with what look like natural breasts and a lovely heart-shaped bottom. Not since Bo Derek in "10" has the body of a woman been the focal point of a movie like this. The camera lovingly caresses every inch of her.Now to the movie itself. The story is no great shakes, we've seen many people marooned on desert islands in movies before from Tom Hanks in "Castaway" to Lee Marvin in "Hell In The Pacific." What we have here is a love triangle between a married couple (Brook and Billy Zane) and a Hispanic deckhand called Manuel. Sexual tension on the island rises and the three of the title also have to deal with all the natural dangers of storms, sharks, etc. It's the sexual tension that keeps you interested and the body of Miss Brook helps also.The movie is also a strange case of life imitating art (I use the word "art" extremely loosely to describe this film!). Kelly Brook's character plays a woman cheating on her partner with another man. In real life, she had an affair with her co-star Billy Zane while shooting this movie and she dumped her then-boyfriend Jason Statham (perhaps shooting this movie made her think about her own love life). Brook dumped Zane earlier this year after 4 years together.Kelly does a convincing American accent and this is, perhaps, her best acting role to date. She'd make a good Bond girl with that bod (just check out her imitation of the Urusla Andress/Halle Berry emerging-from-the-sea-soaking-wet-in-a-bikini-scene).I wasn't expecting much watching this film and I was surprised that it was any good. An agreeable time-waster.
very entertaining
posted on 27 Mar 2008This is one of my favorite movies. Definitely worth watching. I'm sorry to all that have given this movie a poor rating. But you can not compare it to a major film production such as universal or the like. It keeps your attention. It has a good plot, with a lot of action and suspense. It is very entertaining, and that is what movies are supposed to do. I would definitely recommend this movie for others to see. Just a reminder that is it does have some adult content so it isn't really intended for children. Go rent it. It has a beautiful location. It has beautiful actors. It has sex. It has romance. It has action (something gets blown up more than once). Basically it has something for everyone.
Good idea but could have been better
posted on 07 Mar 2008When i first heard about this film i thought it was going to be bad, then the reviews said it was bad so i expected a bad film as you do, on actual fact the film is pretty good in a way, its a good story, decent cast, decent acting but in my eyes very bad directing and even worse editing.The story is very basic, all you need to do is watch the trailer to basically know what happens through out the film, the main attraction of course is miss kelly brook who does quite a lot, show a lot of flesh. The main down points to this film, stupid, unreal actions which when you watch you will know exactly what im talking about. All in all it is a easy to watch film which does not require any brain power and if you a lad it will def make you want to have a play with the old you know what.
magic bikini bottoms.
posted on 04 Feb 2008did anyone notice?when miss brook went skinny dipping,she left the water wearing white bikini bottoms and yet had previously taken it all off to join cabin boy.this could have been a good film without miss brooks phony accent and a year on the island please.how come that Kelly looked always clean and ready for a FM photo shoot.what started out with premise turned in to soft porn.and billy Zane come on,you cant be that hard up for film offers.check out dead calm.also when the people took her away ,how come she scoffed her face and after all that time didn't feel like throwing up.i suggest billy find decent scripts,Kelly stick to photo shoots and cabin boy play the son of Zorro in a future sequel.
Does Exactly what it says on the label
posted on 21 Jan 2008Every now and then a small group of actors get together and make an inoffensive, sex filled location film which is really just an excuse for them to have a bit of a holiday and run around in swimsuits. And so in tradition of the Big Bounce, After the Sunset and Into the Blue, comes Three, a paper thin thriller with some completely gratuitous sex scenes and a nonsensical plot.On the plus side, we get 90 minutes making a very compelling case for Kelly Brook winning a high profile poll recently regarding the greatest bikini bodies of all time, and she is truly a sight to behold. The location certainly looks nice, though it is rather hard to believe we are on a deserted remote island.The performances are all what you'd expect, with Zane easily stealing the film from his rather wooden co stars. Brook is no worse than a thousand other actresses you've seen on screen, and while most of the thriller scenes are rather silly, Manuel's fate does pack a punch.The weakness of the story is that we are never really given much of a reason to side with Jennifer. We see her having wild sex with Jack while tied up in the opening 15 minutes, even sounding open to the idea of a threesome and as the movie develops we can't help but think that Jennifer is the exact type of woman who'd go rolling around in the sand on a deserted island with a hot Spaniard, making her husband's paranoia perfectly understandable.But in the end Three does exactly what it says on the label, and will probably help Kelly Brook top best bikini body polls for years to come.
Great Film
posted on 09 Jan 2008Reminded me of Cast Away meets Tales From The Crypt. Nice twists that you'll most likely see coming, but still a good film. Not an award winning film but bound to become a classic. Stranded on an Island imagination and jealousy start the problem. Action and betrayal finish it. Add alittle island voodoo to the mix for a good ride with a killer ending. You'll love some of the characters and hate others. You decided whether justice was served in the end. A gritty tale of lust and survival stranded on a tropical island some may call paradise, and others may call hell. In the middle of the ocean two may be company, but Three is definitely a crowd. Who will you be rooting for in the end?

posted on 22 Dec 2007It is playing on SHOWTIME right now but is going to be released as a movie called THREE or has been released for 2006. Mess ups include a supposed nude body comes out of the waves with her bottoms on. You can have fun finding the others. It was a decent stranded, hungry, cold, crazy person video but that is about it. And of course what would a movie be without sex. The lady has a nice body and the men are pretty, but the story is the same as Swept Away or A Savage is Loose type with some blood. Wonder if the movie studios know they made a big booboo and already released this show and now gonna release it as THREE. Billy Zane should have worn a top hair piece or shaved his head completely. Juan Di Pace is awesome and there is a couple good sex scenes. There is a voodoo woman that loves the character Di Pace plays and in real life her name is Di Pace too. Not aware of any connection but probably kin or married.

Let's be honest here....
posted on 20 Jul 2009... how many people rented this movie just to see Kelly Brook's boobies? I did, and am not ashamed to admit it... well, much.Anyway, there's about three minutes max of boobies in the film's 90 minute runtime, albeit a lot of bikini shots throughout. Sure, it's shallow to view a film like that, but no one is really going to watch Three as an adult thriller, are they? With so-so acting, quite poor editing/continuity and a pointless voodoo subtext, this film rarely drags and is watchable throughout, albeit never particularly any good. I've seen plenty worse (for the genre, then "Swept Away", aka Ritchie's Folly springs to mind) and the characters are reasonably developed.Occasionally the script is trite, and you can't help but feel a little sympathetic for Jack (Billy Zane, Brook's real-life boyfriend) and the way he's been treated. Maybe it's Zane's vague likability in a boorish role that enables him to not become the villain he's meant to be.But we watched it for the boobies, right?
