Hilarious sequel!
posted on 06 Apr 2009Wayne Campbell (Mike Meyers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) are back! this time, a strange dream featuring Jim Morrison and a half-naked Indian man tells Wayne that he must organize a special rock concert that could be very successful, Cassandra (Tia Carrere) whom you remember as Wayne's sweetheart is dating a sleazy record producer (Christopher Walken) and is engaged to him, but can Wayne benifit the concert and stop Cassandra's wedding from happening? can Garth still trust his new girlfriend Hone Hornee (Kim Basinger)? and can Wayne stop having weird visions of Morrison and the half-naked Indian man?
Funny and exciting sequel that packs some of the charming punch that the original cult classic had! The film has appearences by James Wong, Aerosmith, Rip Taylor, Jay Leno, Drew Barrymore, Harry Sherar, Chris Farley, Heather Locklear, Ed O'Neil and Charlton Heston. This is a non-stop laughfeast with various spoofs to such movies like "Jurassic Park", "The Graduate", "Thelma and Louise" and more! the soundtrack is quite excellent and has suprises abound just like the original movie.
This DVD contains good picture and sound with the only extras being an audio commentary from the director and cast & crew interviews.
Party On.
posted on 12 Jan 2009I think this movie is pretty underrated. I think it was just as funny as the first one the movie was very funny. Every scene from the Village People spoof to the scenes with Jim Morrisson and the naked indian to anything involving Garth and Honey Hornee(bodacious Kim Basinger) and the scene were Wayne fights with Cassandra's father(the movie's highlight) were just hilarious. I found this to be a most excellent sequel and I'm just hoping that Mike Myers someday makes a third one he probably won't do that now since he is milking Austin Powers to death. Anyhow this is one of the better SNL based movies out there along with the first "Wayne's World","Coneheads" and "The Blues Brothers" and I reccomend it to anyone looking for a good laugh.
"If you book them they will come"
posted on 07 Nov 2008As good as the first! Mike Myers is one of my favorite actors, and I love everything he is in! He and Garth never fail to make me laugh. The funniest bits come from him getting seduced by Kim Basinger. Tia Carrere (a gorgeous woman) returns as Cassandra, Wayne's babelicious girlfriend. But she is being led astray by Christopher Walken, will Wayne prove his worthiness? A movie that I have watched over and over, and still laugh. Schwing!
You want me to say what like I don't get it, is that it?
posted on 30 Aug 2008I have to say that this is one of my favorite comedy flicks of all time. I thought Waynes World 2 was much better then the original. What took this one up a notch was the characters played by Christopher Walken and Chris Farely. The combination of all these great actors coupled with a great premise makes this a must see.
Wayne & Garth's Bogus Journey
posted on 30 Aug 2008I know thats a negative title, it was for Bill & Ted too. Even though both films (Bill& Ted's Excellent Adventure(1988) and Wayne's World (1992)) were Excellent, there sequels don't amount to much better. Even the sequels were good, there similarities caught up to each other. Actually to compare all 4 films: 1. Wayne's World (1992) 2. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1988) 3. Wayne's World 2 (1994) 4. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991)
Even though sequel wasn't as good Wayne & Garth are still better than Bill & Ted. So check out Wayne's World 2 and see for yourself
Comes very close to the original
posted on 24 Aug 2008Very few sequels live up to the original, but this one comes incredibly close. The cast is still great and so are the jokes. The Thelma and Louise ending was funny, but not quite as good as the Scooby Doo. Without a doubt, the funniest part is the dubbed karate battle between Wayne and Cassandra's father (that scene alone makes the movie worth seeing). Classic movie that'll keep the party goin'. Excellent.
Hilarious Flick, But Sequel's Can Almost Never Be As Good
posted on 21 Aug 2008In Wayne's World 2 Wayne (Myers) brings eveyrone up to date. The show has been moved to a old warehouse, Casandra has a new manager (Christopher Walken) and everything else important. He also teaches you the history of his boring but interesting life. NOT! Anyway Wayne sees a man in hs dreams telling him to find a big budget concert manager so they can hold a huge concert event. They name it Waynestock. So the whole movie is about that. Some scenes where sort of funny but didn't really have to be there. Like a battle between Wayne and Casandra's father. And now what seems to be a parody of Jackie Chan's work they lip over every word. Some big laughs in this one but not as funny as the original. It be good to rent on some odd night.
the second one is just as better
posted on 13 Jun 2008dana carvey and mike myers, team up together for the second time in the movie wayne's world 2. this was just as good as the original. no one can forget that classic mortal combat scene between wayne and jeff. it was the funniest part in the movie for me. then you have help from one of the biggest names in hollywood, christopher walken, who played the part of bobby perfectly. myers and carvey also worked great together, as usual, who would of thought that a sketch form saturday night live, would turn into two very funny and successful movies. waynes world 2, i salute you, schaaaaaawing!

posted on 04 Jun 2008***SPOILERS*** ...But then again, I think pretty much everybody's seen this by now, right?Funny sequel, with more jokes from the "Dynamic Duo from the Basement". The gags are all pretty funny (i.e.-incl. Field of Dreams mantra, broken glass set-up, YMCA bit, "The Graduate" send-up, and early '70's anti-pollution commercial). It was also nice to see Charlton Heston poke a little fun at himself for a change.Look for members of The Gin Blossoms and the great Nash Kato of Urge Overkill (unbilled) getting out of the limos at "Waynestock".Myers knew when to quit with his Wayne Campbell character, something I'd wish he'd consider before "Austin Powers VIII" opens at your local multi-plex in July of 2011.
Not as good as the first but still hilarious
posted on 30 Mar 2008When I was getting ready to watch this movie I was saying to myself "there is no way it will be as good as the first" I was right. While this movie was still very funny, it just wasn't as fall down funny as the original. The problem was this one focused too much on a completely diffrent plot rather than the actual show. They only show footage of Wayne And Garth doing the show I think twice in the movie. This one has more of a "plot" than the 1st. Which kind of ruins the Wayne's World fun that they brought to the 1st.
In Wayne's World 2, Wayne is now out of his parents house and into his own appartment and he is living his dream: doing Wayne's World for a living. The movie starts off hilarious with a Batman spoof and Wayne and Garth attending an Aerosmith concert.
That same night, Wayne is visited in a dream by Jim Morrison of The Doors who tells him he must put on a rock concert in Chicago called Waynestock (Woodstock). And he must travel to England or something to find an old rock star to help him out.
But Wayne then makes this already challenging task into something even more hard by telling a record producer all of these great bands that are going to be there off the top of his head to impress his girlfriend, Cassandra. He then wins over her attention from her producer (who Cassandra is actually interested in throughout the movie) but realizes that doing what he says will be next to impossible. So now he has to deal with setting up an almost impossible concert while still trying to keep his relationship going with Cassandra.
This movie did have some hilarious moments such as the japanese fight scene between Wayne and Cassandra's father where their voices are dubbed in English just like an old japanese movie. And of course some more of the random things popping up as in the 1st save this movie from being completely bad. But still this movie will never be as good or funny as the original Wayne's World. Still worth the buy though
"Wayne's World 2" runs for about 90 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for language, sexual humor, and some cartoonish violence.
yeah right
posted on 21 Mar 2008this movie i think may be better than the original , which is near impossible but its true . Same kinda story but the laughs are what matter and this movie does not dissapoint , if you have the first one this is a MUST!! buy it now , if you book them they will come!!
Much better than the first one
posted on 02 Feb 2008I thought Wayne's World 2 was much funnier than the first one. The jokes are much better as is the storyline which is unusual for a sequel. I think this is one of Mike Myers best ever films and probably the funniest he's ever been in. The great thing is, you don't even have to watch the first film to understand what goes on in the second film either. A fantastic film full of great jokes and if you don't laugh, you can't be human.
Almost as good as the original!
posted on 24 Jan 2008WAYNE's World is my favorite movie of all times. Wanye's world 2 was pretty good, i gave it a 8, as opposed to the 10 that i gave the first WW. It's all the characters back again, for a second time, including Chris Farley and the character known as "dale preston" on yeah, and there is a "weird naked indian" in the movie. you've gotta check it out. Their mission in the movie is to put on a concert..."If you book them, they will come." Its a cute lil movie, not as good as the first one, but sequels rarely are.
Absolutely hilarious!
posted on 16 Dec 2007Waynes World 2 is one of my FAVORITE movies. As in the original, the comedic duo of Dana Carvey and Mike Myers is pure genius. The rest of the cast (Christopher Walkens, Tia Carrey, Chris Farely, etc) was also amazingly funny. I thought WW 2 was actually better then the original. It had more references to pop culture and although the plot wasn't up to academy award standers, it was more entertaining then the first. Watch out for the YMCA scene and the weird naked Indian. Also expect to see Rip Taylor, Aerosmith, and yes even Jim Morrison. My advice: if you want to see a masterpiece of modern theater, this movie isn't for you. However if you just want to laugh and have a good time, go and see it! PARTY ON!
Not as good as "Wayne's World"
posted on 07 Dec 2007Not quite as good as the first but a damn good effort all the same! I will say that the "YMCA" sequence is inspired, stupid, but inspired! Like the first is good from begining to end, this one relies on too many cameos and homages though. But always worth watching!!!
can you say, "Pure Crapola"?
posted on 01 Nov 2007This has got to be one of the worst films ever made. And to think after great shorts on SNL and a fantastic first film, this one just ruined the whole Wayne and Garth idea. Story sucked, acting sucked, everything just plain sucked. I bet that if Wayne and Garth saw this themselves, they would even say it sucked. God, I even walked out of the theater on this one. -20 out of 10.

"I had to beat them to death with their own shoes"
posted on 29 Jul 2009This is more great comedy from the minds of the cast members of Saturday Night Live. Dana Carvey and Mike Myers are among my favorites, so Wayne's World has always been a favorite of mine.
In their ode to die-hard 80s hair band fans, Wayne and his faithful sidekick, Garth, set out on another adventure. This time around, Wayne begins to question his mortal purpose. He is soon visited in a dream by a naked indian man who leads him through the desert sands to Jim Morrison. Morrison tells him that the purpose of his life is to put on a concert.
Of course, there are obstacles... Namely, Bobby (played by Christopher Walken), the smooth-talking and suave record producer in charge of managing Cassandra's (Wayne's girlfriend) budding music career.
Garth has issues of his own, though. He has just "gotten his first pubes", so he is eager to become familiarized with the ways of the woman. A snake of a woman, played by Kim Basinger attempts to take advantage of his innocence and loyal nature. The scenes Dana Carvey shares with Basinger are hilarious.
This is just a funny and ridiculous movie. With a good cast of actors, the story leads from one funny scene to the next. Carvey and Myers are great together...
Highly recommended for fans of SNL comedy.
